The Woodland's references provide pleasure from Calgary to Opglabbeek...
Over the Atlantic Sea, Koss van Heiste showed his qualities once more! With 0.01 of a second the 8-year-old Breemeersen Adorado son claimed victory in the $ 100,000 Truman Homes Cup Grand Prix during CSI3* Royal West. Koss was sold to Lander de Bruyn as a four-year-old in 2014 and moved to the stables of Eadaoin Collins a year later. "Koss has shown so many good results in recent weeks that he will now get some rest," says a proud Eadaoin. "He became 7th in his first 1m45 Grand Prix in Bromont at the end of July, won two classes in Thunderbird in August followed by a win in Spruce Meadows in early September. Last month he became 1st, 3rd, 4th and 7th in several CSI3* classes, so we can not expect more!" Eadaoin finishes laughing.
But also at CSI5* level the Woodland's horses don't disappoint. Niels Bruynseels counted on Kadaffi van Orti, an 8-year-old son of Diamant de Semilly, during the CSI5*-W of Verona. This brown gelding was sold in 2014 and effortlessly achieved a 9th and a 10th place in the CSI5*-W 1m45 classes.
In the Spanish Oliva, Qatar Donaldson Z claimed a 7th place. This son of Quidam de Revel jumps under the saddle of the American Charlie Sue Fani and went under the Woodland's hammer in 2014.
A bit closer to home, Funky Blue (Zirocco Blue) and Caipiranja (Taran de la Pomme) also achieved some places of honor. The first was 10th during CSI2* Opglabbeek under the saddle of Stanislav Teder while Caipiranja gained a 9th place in the CSI2* Grand Prix of Kronenberg with Tiffany Foster on the reins.
