Woodland's 2016 succes
Last night in Belgium, Woodland’s International Sales was held for the 5th time but the team around Belgian Champions Niels Bruynseels and Nick Vrins moved from the traditional venue in Koningshooikt to the Azelhof equestrian centre, just a few hundred meters down the road.
“The entire auction has been a succes for the team and the horses” confirms Niels Bruynseels who is already in Barcelona for the Nations Cup Final. “We changed venue to be able welcome more clients and to present the horses in better conditions, especially during the jumping presentation. This year we changed strategy and presented less horses than previous years. We have been very strict on the selection and we did not give in on quality and soundness. And so we came to a stronger group of 18 horses”.
Top-seller was the 6 year old gelding Kyrelle, bought for 142.000€ by French investors who also bought the 7 year old J’adore van de Meulenberg with an international result list. Greek clients bought the stunning Gorgeous Lady at 125.000€. Loyal customers purchased Garlikk and Pieter Devos as new Belgian champions will be seen on the 4 year old Martin.
“It’s true that this year we have reached a much more international audience, which is our goal. The auction and its name grows and the horses from the previous collections are doing extremely well. We’ve brought Nations Cup and Grand Prix winners to the auction, this year again we had a Woodland’s horse in the finals in Lanaken. That is solid proof for many investors to follow our path and we’re very happy about that” concludes Bruynseels in behalf of the team.
Woodland’s International Sales had a turnover of 1.133.000€ and an average of just over 66.000€.
