It’s not without reason that this future talent was crowned the winner of the Westphalian championship for five-year-old showjumpers this past August. Checkfire is a very modern showjumping horse blessed with excellent technique, quick reflexes, and very good rideability. This makes him particularly suited for the American market. Checkfire’s dam already produced the four-year-old stallion Django Z (by Dourkhan Hero Z), one of the most popular young stallions at Zangersheide last season. Like his half-brother, Checkfire is bursting with potential and is a dream to ride. His sire, Checkter, has already gained prominence at international 1.50m level under Cian O’Connor and has passed on many great qualities to this exceptional son.
