Calvino de Nyze Z, the sire of Dolce-K, belongs to an exceptionally precious sport lineage, the BWP damline 115. It is abundantly clear that Calvino I also plays a part in the success of this lineage. At a young age, he already jumped into the spotlight. In 2018, the then 9-year-old Calvino I, under the saddle of Pieter Clemens, ranked, among other performances, second in the World Cup in Abu Dhabi. In 2019, the Mexican Carlos Hank Gonzales took over the reins. Thanks to Calvino’s scope, suppleness and attitude, he managed to distinguish himself at the highest level.
Dolce-K also has a Bilderbuch pedigree on the dam’s side. His dam, Symphonie-K van Kattenheye, did not miss her international debut at 1m40 level this year with a clear round. She is ridden by Lauranne Spits. Symphonie’s dam, Eloubet van de Doorndonkhoeve, is a golden broodmare. To date, she has produced five approved stallions for breeding, and five of her first six offspring have caused a furore in international showjumping. Typical for her offspring are: a good competition mentality, a lot of scope, good foreleg technique, a willingness to work, and they are generally energetic.
